callipetters

While working on my grandma’s computer not long ago, my son sat patiently drawing a picture for me. I wasn’t able to view it until it was complete, but boy was I impressed! He drew a picture of the complete metamorphosis of a butterfly (ok, maybe he added the “egg” part, but anyway – he’s smart like that!). Okay, and he said “cocoon” when he was clearly taught to say “chrysalis” – but he’s 6. I’m surprised he remembered any of it, and I just love that he delivers with such humor…

I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in life. And I am horribly limited. — Sylvia Plath
