Ok so I didn’t take this today, I took it Saturday when I vowed to take a picture everyday and learn something new in Photoshop, and I’m just now getting around to posting it. It may take me some time to get used to this everyday thing, but I promise I will try!!
I took quite a few pictures, but this one really spoke to me - to me, it tells a beautiful story.
I took this picture at my grandma’s house. I applied a high contrast black & white action and a vignette. I think I could have done something different with it now that I look at it, but maybe later.
What does this picture say to me? It reminds me of my grandparents. You see, my grandpa built that house with his bare hands. The white paint is peeling now, and if he were still around there’s no doubt he would probably be discussing a repainting of the house. The flowers in the flower pot are still tended to by my grandma. A house he built, and flowers she planted and cares for. To me, it’s beauty in the simplest form.

Howdy! I'm the girl that writes here. This is where I organize my thoughts, and document the real life experiences of me and my son. You will find crazy funny stories, obsessively photoshopped pictures, some random yet awesome links, craftacular stuff, creative frugalness, and strong opinions here. Grab a drink, maybe one on the rocks, and sit for a spell. Oh, and read. This is a blog, after all!
