s-o-t-o-y

just now: “Mom, I really don’t want to say this bad word but I have to tell you what she said, and it’s really NOT a bad word, but it just sounds like it, okay?”

Me: “No, it’s not okay. Do NOT say a bad word, not even to tell me something.”

Him: “No mom, it’s not a bad word. It sounds like she is saying G-I-X-E, but she’s really saying ‘bridge’ – that’s all”

He has heard me spell out bad words before, so that’s what he’s trying to do. Something we hear a lot of is…

“Oh crap! WHEW! I almost said ‘S-O-T-O-Y’. That would have been BAD if I would have said that bad word, huh mama?”

LoL… so, for those of you who don’t know… “shit” is spelled “sotoy” – and I do mean all the time, he never changes the spelling of that word :)
